Porta Tapestry

$3,000.00

by Melina Finkelstein, fabric paint on cotton, 5’ x 7’,

The Porta Tapestry is an exploration of pattern design and was made with the Porta stencil. The same stencil was used to make the Porta Painting.

Melina is an Oakland-based non-objective painter and textile designer who paints bold patterns on fabric and wood, weaves tapestries out of old paintings and collaborates with textile artisans in Mexico and Nepal to make museum quality, one-of-a-kind custom rugs. Melina established herself as a leading Bay Area textile designer as the co-founder and current owner of Peace Industry. Casa Muñiz Design is Melina’s second brand venture and marks her reemergence as a designer and artist.
