Rug Size Guide

Use the diagrams to help choose the perfect size.

• LIVING ROOM The rug should be slightly longer than the sofa.

• LIVING ROOM If you are pairing the rug with a sectional sofa, the rug should be large enough so that everyone’s feet are on the rug when they are seated.

• LIVING ROOM Side chairs don’t need to be on the rug.

• FORMAL LIVING ROOM For more formal interiors choose a size that is large enough to frame the sofa(s) and side chairs.

• Use blue tape to find the best size.

• DINING ROOM: A dining room rug should be 4’ longer per dimension so there is 2’ of rug around the table.

• BEDROOM: We don’t recommend placing an entire bed on a rug. Save yourself the extra maintenance by choosing runners for the sides and smaller rugs at the foot of the bed.
